I made a mistake the other night. I would say that what I did fell somewhere between cheating on my wife and forgetting that I hooked my dog up to my trailer hitch before driving off. I failed to recognize that my wife got a new haircut.

A quiet morning, No yelling, no screaming and no fighting. Is that too much to ask for? Clearly that's what my wife thought this morning when listening to my 5 year old (Tiny) and I go at it over a coloring book. Lately, Tiny and I have not seen eye to eye. My wife says that its because we are so much alike and she's right.

Every three months or so, I get into a rut. I don't feel like writing or am just too busy. After a long conference in San Diego (sounds funner that is was), the thrilling conclusion of my son's soccer season, and work, I have really had little time to write here. Well that's what I tell myself at least. In reality I have spent my early mornings reading and relaxing. Sure I could write more, but I have enjoyed reading other peoples work: spy novels, Star Wars spin offs and motivational books.

We live far far away from my parents so they don't get to see our boys as frequently as they would like. Of course, with Skype, Google and a litany of other technological advances they can video chat with the boys as much as they - the boys - would like or we - the parents - can handle. You hand my sons the phone to say "I love you Grandma" and they're church mice, whispering so that not even I can hear them. However, we turn on Skype and the fun begins.

Coming to a consensus in my house is difficult. Everyone and thing believes that they should have an opinion and input concerning every decision. Try naming an animal. It's shear hell. If you've gone through this hell, at the end of this post please comment on the name that was selected and the process.
